I have been very lucky to be awarded the Lee Harris Bursary this year.

Lee used to work in 3DReid and unfortunately had an accident in the 2005 London tube bombing event. Although I do not know him in person, during the time I was working here, I have heard from my colleagues that he was an amazing guy who was very dedicated to his work and has good relationship with colleagues and clients. In his work, he was very meticulous with details and the choice of materials. Light plays an important role in his work. He also liked to travel and photography as well. This has been the 13th year for the Lee Harris Bursary and it has given many young architects to have the amazing opportunity to travel, study the topics they are interested in.

I didn't know I would have a chance to visit those places again. I think traveling is a very important aspect for our career, not only to see beautiful buildings but an opportunity to experience different culture and have a better understanding of the world we are living in.

It was an amazing evening back in 3DReid to share my findings to Lee's parents and my colleagues.
