Speed was the first collaborative project between Architecture and Civil Engineering students in University of Bath, The brief was to design and construct a 1:1 sculpture that represent ‘Speed’ in a conceptual manner. As a team, we were particularly interested in visualising the resultant traces of an object during acceleration; The streamline spiral shapes appear to be dynamic and light; the change in material and the use of colour help to accentuate the movement.
